Some things to consider when creating your budget are:

- Do you want to increase the value of your home?
- Do you want to change the location of already existing plumbed-in items?
- What fixtures of your new bathroom are essential?
Once you have made these decisions, it is also best to put a little money aside for unexpected expenses, especially if it is an older home. For example, if you are dealing with an older home, you may run into rusted pipes, mold or water damage.
