Here at Bad Lizard Granite & Quartz, we are known and trusted as our customers’ local source for premium granite and quartz for their new home and remodel projects. We specialize in the custom countertop fabrication and installation of natural and engineered stone surfaces for kitchens, baths, fireplaces and more. But it doesn’t stop there! We are excited to announce that we have expanded our product line to offer and install the popular Venetian Marble shower surrounds. Continue reading to learn more about Venetian Marble and why it might be the right choice for your next bathroom design project.

Venetian Marble shower surrounds provide the “wow-factor” that will allow your bathroom to feel and look luxurious. These shower panels are manufactured equivalently to a Quartz countertop process, except this material’s primary genetic makeup is chipped marble. It is lightweight and durable, and it can be installed over any material — but the preferred methods are drywall or plywood.

Venetian Marble comes in 12 striking color options that can be matched to the color scheme and overall design of your space. These colors include Lhasa, Coco Emperador, Vanilla Sky, Melange, Polar White, Swiss Blanco, Tibetan Beige, Bisque, Milano Beige, Blanco Perlato, Iridium Gray and Champagne Limestone. Please keep in mind that due to current supply issues, we are only offering colors that we have in stock and ready to go.

With Venetian Marble, you do not have to worry about complicated maintenance. It is effortless to care for and maintain. Venetian Marble is an excellent choice over your typical tile and grout because the method is 100 percent fail-proof, and cleaning it couldn’t be easier. It only requires a simple wipe down with a squeegee — there are no grout lines to worry about cleaning!

The installation process for our Venetian Marble shower inserts is a breeze. After you or your contractor install the shower pan or tub, the Bad Lizard Granite & Quartz team takes over from there. We can assist you with the color decision and we handle the installation of the shower panels and custom finishes.

After the shower pan or tub is installed, we obtain a digital template and install our own pre-made rain channels in the corners for waterproofing. Then, our expert staff will install three, one-piece Venetian Marble sheets against the wall (for typical 3-sided showers). Once you have time, just have your plumber finish, and you can enjoy your new shower. It’s that simple! The templating takes one day, and the installation can be completed in one day as well.

If you are looking for a custom design, we can help with that too! We have numerous options for your shower, including installing bench seats, niches, curbs, risers and 3/8-inch thick glass shower doors along with varying finishes of hardware.

Smaller pieces of our countertops that are left over from our granite, quartz, or marble projects can also be used in the form of remnants. These remnant pieces are an in-expensive alternative that can be used as bathroom vanity counters and add additional value to your space. If you would like to learn more about remnants, check out our blog, Remnants 101

With its easy maintenance, wide variety of color options, and fast and simple installation process, it is no wonder that Venetian Marble has become such a popular material for shower surrounds. We are very excited to be offering and installing this new product, and we think you will be excited about it too!
