WHAT ARE WORKSTATION SINKS?
Workstation sinks help you to maximize space and minimize movement in the kitchen. They incorporate custom accessories that allow you to convert the sink area into a versatile workspace (ranging from food preparation to clean-up and drying). Workstation sink accessories commonly include cutting boards, colanders, drying racks, roll-up drying racks, bottom grids and drains. Best of all, these custom accessories do not take up additional countertop space, which is a dream come true if you are working with limited countertop space or in a smaller kitchen!
WHAT DOES THE LEDGE DO?
Workstation sinks are also known as ledge sinks. Workstation sinks have a built-in sink ledge that creates a custom track for their accessories. This custom track allows you to extend your workspace and optimize it to your needs. For instance, you can place the colander on one side of the sink to dry off vegetables and simultaneously place the cutting board on the other side of the sink to cut the vegetables up once they are dry. And once again, you are not taking up any additional countertop space to do it.

We currently offer and install two models of Elkay Crosstown workstation sinks at Bad Lizard Granite & Quartz. One of the models is a single basin sink, while the other model is an equally-sized double basin sink with a low center divider. Our workstation sinks come in a single basin or double basin option. Our single basin sink gives you uninterrupted space for washing and stacking dishes or other household tasks. Our double basin sink allows you to conveniently and separately use its equal-sized bowls for washing, soaking, rinsing, drying or other household tasks. It also has a low center divider that allows pan handles to extend easily over the center and makes it simpler to wash large items.
